Our Warranty…and optional protection plans.
We are pleased to offer optional protection plans for our new and pre-owned instruments. All used instruments are sold with a 6 month general warranty at no cost. An additional 12 month protection can be purchased to keep your new to you instrument playing great! Contact us for more details and pricing.
Our general warranty for new and pre-owned instruments covers all mechanical parts of your instrument. Binding or sticking keys, adjustment of set screws, all springs and screws, all cork parts and pads are covered. Wooden instrument bodies that have existing repaired cracks that leak or open up are covered. New cracks on pre-owned instruments are not covered under this warranty. This warranty includes repair of cracking for the first 6 months of ownership for new wooden instruments. Damage due to misuse or accident are not covered. Bent keys, broken tenons, new cracking, damage to case or case cover is not covered. Repairs not covered by this warranty are billed at our normal shop rates. All other custom services are not covered by this warranty and subject to normal shop rates. Shipping costs are the responsibility of owner.
Plastic Body Instruments
$200
This optional protection can only be purchased at time of sale. This optional protection is in combination with the above 6 month warranty thus extending it to 18 months. Cracks to the plastic body are not covered by this warranty. Bent keys, broken tenons, damage to the case or case cover is not covered. Repairs not covered by this warranty are billed at our normal shop rates. All other custom services are not covered by this warranty and subject to normal shop rates. Shipping costs are the responsibility of owner. Warranty services are only offered by Reedhouse.
Wooden Body Instruments
$300
This optional protection can only be purchased at time of sale. This warranty is in combination with the above 6 month warranty thus extending it to 18 months. This warranty covers all aspects listed above. This warranty includes existing cracks and cracks that develop in the first 36 months of ownership of the instrument. Use of the instrument outdoors or under adverse conditions will void this warranty. Damage due to misuse or accident are not covered. Bent keys, broken tenons, damage to the case or case cover is not covered by this warranty. Repairs not covered by this warranty are billed at our normal shop rates. All other custom services are not covered by this warranty and subject to normal shop rates. Shipping costs are the responsibility of owner. Warranty services are only provided by Reedhouse.
